Urbancrest Community Plan
About the Plan
Community residents, Village officials and Franklin County planners developed a Community Plan for the Village of Urbancrest. This project began in May 2019 and was completed August 2021. Franklin County's role was to facilitate the planning process, collect input and feedback through the process, and report findings and recommendations back to the community, the Working Committee, and Village officials. In March 2022, the plan was submitted to Urbancrest’s administration and Village Council for review and adoption.

The planning area included all of the land in the Village of Urbancrest.
Project Overview
This plan addresses land use, housing, transportation, economic development and other planning issues facing the Village for the next 10-20 years.
The project involved a consensus-based process using a working committee and public meetings to reach consensus and develop a final plan document.

Public Meetings
The project's first public meeting was held on Thursday, Sept. 12, 2019 at 6:30pm at the Quinichett Pavilion. At the meeting residents provided input through multiple feedback activities. Residents that were unable to attend the Public Meeting were able to complete an online survey through Sept. 26.
The project’s second public meeting was held on Thursday, September 3, 2020 at 3:30pm. Due to COVID-19 restrictions on large gatherings, the meeting was held online through video chat and teleconferencing. Residents provided input during the meeting’s discussion session. All residents were invited to complete a survey that was mailed to households throughout the Village. Surveys could also be completed online.
The project's third and final public meeting was held on Monday, August 9, 2021 at 6:00pm in the Quinichett Pavilion. This meeting was held as an open house for viewing the draft of the Urbancrest Community Plan. Community members were able to provide feedback on all sections of the plan, including vision statements, policy recommendations, and implementation.
